Speculates on the price difference between any two brokers. Because every position is hedged, there's no need to label a "fast" or "slow" broker — you simply look for price differences.

  • No need to identify fast vs. slow feeds
  • Positions can be held for minutes or hours, giving the broker time to cover (STP)
  • Close on a second arbitrage for extra profit — 10–100 pips, or even a (hedged, not real) loss
  • Virtually undetectable, so the strategy can run indefinitely
Latency · 1‑Leg

Uses a faster price feed as a signal to exploit a slower one. First you must work out which broker is fast and which is slow — hard when markets whip back and forth and a trade can reverse before it even fills.

  • Easy for brokers to detect with automated reports
  • Once flagged: added slippage, wider spreads or delayed execution "kill" the edge
  • Short‑term trades (1–10s), tiny profits (1–5 pips), 50–500 trades/day — an obvious footprint
  • Brokers can even disconnect traders until prices move to a loss

Frequently asked questions

Can I trade more than one currency pair or instrument?

Yes — you can trade up to 10 pairs of your choice. Only the demo version is limited to a single pair. That said, we don't recommend trading more than 4 pairs at the same time.

Which currency pairs / instruments are best?

In general we recommend the Forex majors — small spreads, high liquidity and high volatility. Some clients also trade minors and even CFDs on stocks and commodities.

Can I trade from anywhere?

Yes. In fact, we recommend a VPS for all your trading.

Are there any risks, and what are they?

Yes, there are some small risks. Most are technical — internet or computer failure, for example. Additional risks come from brokers who may use their technical abilities to manipulate prices and trade execution.

How much profit can I expect?

It depends mostly on your brokers and account type. As a general guide, around 50 pips average per day. What that means in money depends on your lot size — roughly 500 USD/day at 1 lot, or about 50 USD at 0.1 lots. Some days with no volatility bring hardly any profit; other days can reach 1,000 pips. The answer depends on many variables.

How much money do I need to start?

The more the better. We recommend 4–6 accounts with a minimum of 500 USD each to get you started.

Is there a difference between demo and real accounts?

Yes. Demo accounts usually execute better and are manipulated less by the broker, so they tend to show better results with any trading strategy.

I'm getting error messages while trading — what do they mean?

Error messages can have many causes. Please check the reference list: MT4 error codes.

How do I reset the Hedge4 platform after 100+ trades?

It's important to reset Hedge4 after 100 or more trades. Here's how: watch the reset tutorial.

Does Hedge4 account for (ECN) commission in the P/L?

The demo version does not, but the real version does.
